Riot Kayaks Quest 10 HV kayak is a general purpose kayak that’s well loved by both fishermen and non-fishermen alike. The kayak’s size and design makes it easy to handle, both on the water and off it, and its wide frame and flat bottom make it very stable. The boat also incorporates a large sealed storage area in the stern, which is ideal for precious fishing tackle or overnight gear.

I was looking for a fishing kayak with good stability , easy manoeuvrability and comfortable seating without having to pay a fortune. This kayak fit the bill perfectly. It also comes with a very good warranty.

Best Feature

As well as a whole host of useful features – like ample storage, manoeuvrability, in-built rod holders and ultra-comfrtable seat – the Quest 10 HV comes with a very good warranty. This offers great peace of mind, as there are a lot of boats out there that don’t live up to the hype (please check the warranty is still available before you purchase).

Worst Feature

The worst feature of Riot Kayaks Quest 10 HV kayak is probably its weight. At 64 pounds, some people will prefer to opt for a lighter kayak, although there are stability benefits of owning a kayak of this width that may compensate. It’s a trade-off only you can decide on.

My Personal Tips

Personally I think this is a great little kayak for fishing. Yes, it’s a little on the heavy side, but for an all-round experience, we’d take a little more stability over weight-savings, especially considering all those giant fish we’ll be fighting! It’s also a fun little kayak to paddle – who doesn’t want to enjoy their time on the water?!

Nevertheless, for fellow fishermen we have no hesitation in giving this a big thumbs-up. Whether you’re on a calm lake, or tackling swell and chop, we think you’ll enjoy owning this little boat as much as we do.

Very good kayak for the money. Its good on lakes, slow rivers and even a little whitewater.
